Professor Kudrolli does experiments on a broad range of non-equilibrium phenomena, granular materials, and biological physics. Topics include grain shape and dynamics, scaled-up ciliary flow and synchronization, crumpling, self-assembly, erosion geomorphology, and population dynamics in bacterial colonies.

Professor Mukhopadhyay works on a range of theoretical and computational problems at the interface of physics and biology. Professor Petroff is an experimental physicist who uses hydrodynamics and reaction diffusion equations to understand the organization, dynamics, and evolution of microbial systems in table-top experiments.
